Behavioral Nudges

Nudges are personal reminders and notifications that are uniquely designed to keep you on track.
Sample Nudges:

  • Savor the “good.” Most people notice the pleasure in special moments, like a birth or a vacation. Everyday pleasures, on the other hand, can pass by without much notice. Be mindful of those times too.
  • Monitoring changes in waist circumference over time may be helpful, in addition to measuring BMI, since it can provide an estimate of increased abdominal fat, even when BMI remains constant.
  • Community and environment matters. Even if you can’t move from where you live, you can live well where you move.

Fasting/Time-Restricted Eating

Time-restricted eating (TRE) may trigger some beneficial health effects, such as reduced fat mass, increased lean muscle mass, and reduced inflammation.  We do not know everything about food and how it affects our bodies, but what we can say with confidence is that snacking after your last meal adds calories, and that can lead to increased weight.  This TRE feature helps you stop the snacking. Please note - Fasting longer than 24 hours should only be done under the supervision of a health care provider.

OptimumU offers four different guided bodyweight workouts that allow you to choose your desired intensity. You select High, Moderate, or Low-intensity level, and decide between full body and targeted routines.
